Thinking about Relocating to Florida? There are so many reasons, let me count the ways! Forty-two years ago, I found myself, one snowy winter night, driving home from a hospital in St Louis County area. I was driving an outrageous red 1964 Corvette Stingray convertible hard top in the snow! Yes, that's right. The snow was raining down inside my car through the cracks in my convertible hard top roof. To make the entire situation worse, it was Mid-Night on Interstate 244. It was truly a dark, lonely night. I was freezing, I was being snowed on in my car, and I was terrified! The realization that my little vehicle may slide off the road into one of the giant snow embankments, ( which were the result of snow plows clearing the interstate). loomed on both sides, threatening to swallow me up with one fail swoop! My mind was racing as the thought suddenly came to me. No one would know or even care, if my car ran off the road and landed into one of the giant pyramid-like structures! I decided, at that moment, if I had to work everyday, I should live somewhere that I could at least get to work without risking life and limb! Needless to say, I sold my 1964 Corvette Stingray, and bought a brand new 1977 Toyota Celica. It was one of the best cars I have ever owned! I loved that car! I drove that car to Florida and started my Forever Dream Florida life because of the weather! The yearly average temperature in Florida is 67.6 degrees F. That is purrrrfect!
